Our Favorite: We love to visit Sardinia in April, May, September and October. The weather is perfect and the crowds have died down. 

 



Grand Hotel Poltu Quatu
Grand Hotel Poltu Quatu offers views of La Maddalena Islands from the north coast of Sardinia. The resort is surrounded by green nature and is close to Porto Cervo and Baia Sardinia. It is consisted of of 2 buildings, offering both rooms and apartments. Facilities include an outdoor swimming pool, a beach which can reached by the hotel's free shuttle service, a sauna, steam bath and a gym. Sport facilities include a tennis court and football field. Some rooms have a balcony and can have pool, mountain or sea views. Olbia Harbor is 21 mi away and it is a 40-minute drive to Costa Smeralda Airport.

Set in Porto Cervo, the main town along Sardinia's popular Emerald Coast, Cervo Hotel is a Marriott property offering panoramic views across the bay. Rooms feature Sardinian décor, mosaic bathrooms, and wood floors. A wide variety of sports and leisure facilities are available from May to September, including a tennis court, a gym with outdoor swimming pool and a wellness center. Dining at the Costa Smeralda Resort offers a range of cuisine, from pizza to Mediterranean specialties. Porto Cervo marina is 10 minutes away and nearby you will also find sport clubs, a luxury shopping promenade and the town's famous nightlife.

Hotel Cala di Volpe, a Luxury Collection Hotel 
Hotel Cala di Volpe is surrounded by a lush, green Mediterranean landscape. The resort has excellent sports, including tennis, a fitness center and a wellness spa. The huge salt-water pool that is surrounded by shaded huts with loungers and beach towels. The private white-sand beach is a 5-minute boat ride or a 15-minute stroll away. In the evening you can choose from Mediterranean cuisine, Asian Fusion (Nobu-style) cuisine, selected meats and luxury street food at Beefbar at Cala di Volpe, gourmet Sardinian dishes, wine tasting and much more at Cala di Volpe's award-winning restaurants, with lovely views of the bay.

Hotel Li Finistreddi
Offering views of the Maddalena Archipelago at the horizon, Li Finistreddi is set on a green hill in northern Sardinia. It features two outdoor and private swimming pools and a spa with a fitness corner. Guests can start the day with an extensive à la carte breakfast. With sea views, the Osteria Gourmet restaurant offers traditional Sardinian food as well as classic Italian and international dishes. The wellness center features a heated salt water hydromassage pool, sauna, Turkish bath and fitness corner. Outside there is an equipped wellness path and a tennis court.

  • You can't really go wrong in Porto Cervo or Poltu Quatu once you find a property you like. Just keep in mind that some drives can be long, so staying close to the main little areas is nice.

MUST DO'S:
Private yacht or catamaran day exploring the La Maddalena islands. Some of the clearest blue water and pristine white beaches. Pink beach is also beautiful althought it is protected so you cannot walk on it. You can find so many remote beaches around sardinia. The water is absolutely beautiful to swim in, but be mindful of jellyfish season and confirm with locals before getting in the water! 

 



GETTING AROUND NORTHERN SARDINIA:
Taxis: The easiest and best way to get around is to grab a taxi. If this is ever difficult, call your hotel and the concierge can call a cab to your location. Booking private cars through your hotel is also an option.
