RESTAURANTS
The Codfather - One of our favorite seafood restaurants we’ve ever been to offering delicious fresh to order seafood. They also have a sushi train that is to die for.
The Pot Luck Club - Tapas restaurant with glass walls and views of Table Mountain.
Grub & Vine - all around a great dining and culinary experience!
La Colombe Restaurant - A stunning, trendy countryside vineyard restaurant.
Villa 47 - An incredible ambiance with delicious freshly prepared ingredients!
COCKTAIL BARS & NIGHTLIFE
Camps Bay - We really enjoyed the the day clubs by the beach and it is also lively at night. Just always be cautious walking around after dark, especially alone. It is best to have a ride to take you to your destination.
Options for your stay in Cape Town:
Hiking - Hike Lion’s head and Table Mountain. You can take the cable cars down from Table Mountain.
Vineyard day - Take a day trip to visit the vineyards of Stellenbosch. South Africa has some of the world’s most amazing wines to offer. If a day trip isn't long enough, you can add on a couple of nights to your trip at one of the beautiful vineyard hotels!
Boulder's Beach - Spend the afternoon in Boulder's beach to meet the penguins that colonized here! You can also kayak, snorkel and paddle board with the ocean's wildlife. We suggest using Shark Warrior Adventures at Seaforth Beach, a company passionate about wildlife conservation.
Bo-kaap - Check out the colorful and historic homes of the Bo-kaap museum. Great spot for photos.
Cage diving - Live on the edge and go cage diving with Great White sharks!
Pick a safari! - Whether this is just for a day trip or adding a couple of nights to a safari nearby in South Africa at the end of your trip or if you choose to fly to another country in Africa, a safari is a MUST! A couple of safaris that we’ve enjoyed outside of South Africa are Zambia/Zimbabwe (Victoria Falls), Tanzania (Serengeti/then adding on island time in Zanzibar is always a good idea), and Kenya.
V&A Waterfront market - Check out the little boutique stands inside the Watershed at V&A waterfront for locally made and sourced items!
Cape of Good Hope - Take a day trip to visit The Cape of Good Hope - the most southern tip of Africa.
Mojo market - A lively indoor market filled with live music, bars, boutique shops and a huge selection of international cuisines.
Clifton Beaches
12 apostles iconic photo spot - The main photo of this guide was taken from lions head with 12 apostles in the distance. Amazing photo!
GETTING AROUND CAPE TOWN:
Uber - Uber! It is very affordable and your best friend during your stay in Cape Town.
Viator & Get Your Guide - If there is a full day experience that you would like to book through a booking company, these usually come with provided transportation.
Airport transportation - We have used uber and have also booked a car through the hotel depending on the time of day or evening. Viator and Get Your Guide also have options.
